Job Description
Arrow Concrete & Asphalt Specialties / Road Products Inc is looking for competent hardworking- quality employees to become long-term team members. We are a busy construction firm and are always hiring dedicated construction laborers to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, load/unload frequently heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. To do well in this role you should be physically fit, reliable, and be a hard worker.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preform pre-trip/post-trip vehicle/machine inspection for safety and operational order
- Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
- Help equipment operators and other skilled labor when necessary
- Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
- Load/unload construction materials
- Load/unload equipment and work tools
- Install/remove various traffic signs and signals to help guide drivers through construction zones (e.g.cones, signs, barricades)
- Assist with prepping jobs for asphalt paving and maintenance (sealcoating, crack sealing, etc.)
- Safely operated equipment/vehicles
- Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle inside and out.
- Perform all other duties as required or directed whenever necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license with good driving record
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in the concrete/asphalt industry (will train the right individual)
- Ability to work in all types of weather
- Ability to perform physical labor(i.e. shoveling, raking, sweeping, etc.)
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must be able to work as a team member and follow instruction according to road foreman
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends when needed
- Must be able to pass background and drug test

Positions are seasonal full-time positions. Work begins late April thru late October possibly November depending on weather. Candidates are required to be at least 18+ years old due to nature of the jobs.
Off season snowplow drivers and shop hours also available.
SCHEDULE:
- Monday thru Friday (weekend availability)
- 10-hour shifts

CERTIFICATIONS/ENDORSEMENTS:
- Driver's License
- CDL Class A (Preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the referenced job.
Employee frequently required to sit, climb, use hands for signaling and driving equipment. Occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above shoulders. Must occasionally lift and/or move 50 - 75lbs. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
