CNC Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Precision, contract machining business is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic.


The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Mechanic is to maintain, repair or rebuild a wide variety of large and complicated machine tools and special purpose machines and plant equipment such as CNC mills, Lathes, Multi-Axis machine tools and manual shop equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Install, maintain, and repair plant equipment such as CNC mills, Lathes and Multi-Axis machine tools.
  • Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate
  • Diagnose problems, disassemble and determine extent of repairs required.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment
  • Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric and hydraulic
  • Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions
  • Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; maintain a schedule for inspection, service and testing of machinery
  • May remove chips and turnings, keep various types separated and place in designated areas.
  • Remove and replenish coolants, keep separated and place in designated areas.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area.
  • Work effectively with other team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing experience; 5+ years preferred
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems or equipment.
  • Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy.
  • Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
