Compliance Coordinator

Job Description

Position Summary  

Responsible for administering the corporate compliance calendar and assisting in the preparation of documents for corporate compliance filings as well as assisting in the submission of certain regulatory filings with state licensing and insurance departments. Responsible for the administration of workforce and vendor onboarding & training requirements and assisting in other compliance-related functions.

Essential Functions
  • Administers the corporate compliance calendar to help ensure timely compliance by responsible departments with required tasks; includes sending email reminders, scheduling meetings where necessary, gathering information, and tracking status of resolution.
  • Manages the compliance email box and coordinates requests for information
  • Administers the workforce and vendor onboarding process in regards to the distribution and tracking of compliance information, any required agreements, and training;  Prepares trainings for distribution in e-learning systems and contributes to the development of new trainings; Prepares and distributes reports to management detailing timeliness of completion
  • Assists in the preparation of documents for corporate compliance filings as well as in the submission of certain regulatory filings with state licensing and insurance departments
  • Assists in the administration of the company's privacy program
  • Manages the Delta Dental Plans Association annual survey process, coordinating with other departments for responses and reviewing responses before submission for consistency
  • Coordinates compliance reviews by Delta Dental's national association
  • Keeps abreast of the changing legal and regulatory landscape
  • Supports the internal audit function with high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0 - 3+ years of experience in an office management/executive assistant type position, preferably in a regulatory environment or healthcare-related field
  • Ability to gain general knowledge of commercial health insurance rules, regulations, and requirements
  • Ability to multi-task and meet demanding deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new technology and tools
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
