Job Description

The Sales & Client Relations Coordinator primarily assists the sales team with new group prospecting and client retention activity and serves as a key member of the broker network management function. Activity includes assistance with target market efforts as well as supporting highest levels of existing client and member satisfaction. As such, the position requires providing significant support to our district representatives, account executives and sales director. This position also requires collaboration with the sales team to manage individual assignments within the small group market and certain defined markets. To be effective in this role a person will need to have highly developed team-building skills and an ability to multitask in a high-paced high expectation environment. Activities include but are not limited to the following:

 Provide account level servicing (i.e. receiving service calls and correspondence from account decision makers and their staff and promptly resolving any concerns or requests )
 Coordinate special projects related to day-to-day management of assigned territories
 Provide staffing and product expertise at health and benefit fairs and at times participate in open enrollment benefits presentations
 Facilitate the production of requests for proposals, annual renewals, and aid in the implementation of new business sold
 Facilitate the production of benefits literature
 Participate in the distribution of management reports
 Collaborate with sales support team members on department administrative tasks
 Effectively manage the activities of the marketing database

Education/Experience/Skills Required:
 Bachelor’s degree preferred
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)
 Two to three years sales/marketing experience in servicing of group medical/dental benefits is preferred
 Experience with operations of group benefits carriers with a working knowledge of enrollment, billing, claims processing and customer service functions
 Must have excellent organization and time management skills
 Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and sales & marketing databases
 Insurance Producer’s License is required within the first year of employment
 Valid driver’s license required
