AUTOMATION FIELD TECHNICIAN

Job Description

LOCATION: ALICE, TX


Key Responsibilities:

  • Low Voltage Systems: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems in compliance with safety standards.
  • System Deployment: Set up and configure skid-mounted automation and control systems at client locations for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with automation systems both on-site and remotely.
  • Technical Support: Provide prompt phone-based support to field personnel, resolving inquiries efficiently.
  • Pressure Testing: Perform pressure-testing procedures to verify system integrity and performance.
  • Valve Rebuilding: Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble valves during maintenance operations.
  • Networking: Assist with configuring and maintaining network systems associated with automation equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in low-voltage electrical systems and automation.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Proven experience with system deployment and configuration.
  • Familiarity with Modbus and 4–20 mA systems.
  • Strong phone-based technical support skills.
  • Knowledge of pressure testing and valve maintenance procedures.
  • Basic networking knowledge and configuration experience.
  • Preferred: PLC programming experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel and work outdoors in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to lift 60+ lbs independently.

The position is based in Alice, Texas, with travel throughout the region as required.
