As an Area Assistant Manager in one of our Thrift Store areas, you can proudly tell your family and friends that you help nurture hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth by being a part of the leadership of a team that collects, sorts, stocks, and sells donated items; the profits of which go to fund our Programs and Services and make them accessible to all youth who need those services in Idaho.
o A minimum of two years experience in retail or similar industry
o Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to effectively organize; structure activities and manage staff
o Demonstrated work ethic, integrity and professional conduct
o Strong interpersonal communication and sales skills
Our Area Assistant Managers:
o Oversees the daily operations of store, including staff scheduling, volunteer management, work assignments, training, open/close activities, and personnel-related issues in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
o Maintains agency quality assurance standards.
o Ensures compliance with all safety guidelines including the proper handling of merchandise, ADA and other government regulations, company standards in securing property, and managing theft. Conducts safety meetings.
o Serves as a representative of the Idaho Youth Ranch to both staff and members of the community.
As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.
