Customer Service/Salesperson



Job Description
Kilwins Charlottesville (Chocolate, Fudge & Ice Cream) is seeking a friendly and outgoing person to sell chocolate, fudge, ice cream and other confections at our location on the Charlottesville Historic Downtown Mall.
Applicant must be at least 16 years old.

Pay Rate:
Competitive pay plus tips, based on availability and experience

Main Responsibilities:
Provide great customer service (meet/greet & wait on customers, etc.)
Answer customer questions and makes sales suggestions
Know Kilwins’ history
Preparing foods/beverages (scooping ice cream, making milkshakes & waffle cones, etc.)
Run cash register
Weigh and price products
Packaging product for sale
Maintaining stocked displays
Perform general cleaning duties (dishes, dust, sweep, mop, wash windows, take out trash, etc.)
Other duties as assigned

Expected Schedule:
Position will offer about 16-30 hours a week with a mix of afternoon, evening, and weekend hours. Flexible schedule. Some weekend shifts are a requirement.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
The ideal applicant will possess basic math skills, have good communication skills, and will be able to work both independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Previous retail experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
Position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds on occasion and stand for long shifts.
