Job Description Job Overview: 1. The housekeeper cleans the medical center -- patient rooms, long term care resident rooms and work areas. These work areas include the laboratory, radiology, emergency room, birthing room, clinic, health center, central supply, surgery, linen closets, storage areas, apartment(s) and lounge areas. 2. Dusts and mopping of all hallways upstairs pervious to being scrubbed and buffed. 3. Cleans bathrooms thoroughly. 4. Dusts and damp mops assigned areas daily. 5. Damp dusts bed frames and furniture. 6. Cleans windows and windowsills. Cleans radiators. 7. Rotates with the current staff within the areas of hospital. 8. Fills in and does laundry when needed. 9. Fill in for vacations / illnesses when needed. 10. Performs other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor.
Qualifications: High school diploma, previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred. Self starter, honest, with good communication and a willingness to work. The position is a physical job. The individual must be able to lift, bend, stoop and clean.
