Experienced Veterinary Technician
Queenstown Veterinary Hospital on Maryland's Eastern Shore is seeking a veterinary technician with a minimum of three years of experience in a small animal practice setting. The successful candidate will have excellent skills in the following:
- Verbal and written communication with hospital staff and clients
- Accurate recordkeeping
- Attention to detail
- Restraining cats and dogs for services
- Preparing vaccines and slides for appointments
- Dispensing medications
- Maintaining lab equipment
- Administering medication to cats and dogs
- Medical terminology
- Computer and email
- Patience and compassion
Experience in surgery and anesthesia monitoring is a plus, but not required. Must be able to lift heavy pets. Some Saturdays required.
