The ARC of Rensselaer County is looking for a Resource Assistant to join our team. The Benefit Accountant will work with the Medicaid, Social Security and Food Stamp offices to maintain benefits. The position will also take care of processing all reimbursements and billings for the Self Direction Program. The Benefit Accountant with play an active role in assisting the ARC administration in day to day function. Some responsibilities include and are not limited to: -Performing benefit review

-Assisting the Family and Community Supports Resource Assistant in processing benefit renewal -Processing all Self Direction reimbursements

-Processing all Self Direction monthly billing documents -Office back up for phones, cash receipts and banking requests -Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts -Perform monthly General Ledger Entries

Education/ Experience- Three years of bookkeeping experience or AAS degree in accounting.
