Direct Support Professional (Schenectady)



Job Description
We are currently recruiting for Direct Support Professionals to work with a young man we support in the Schenectady area. Direct Support Professionals in this role assist with household skill training/assistance, socialization opportunities and motivation, transportation to and from activities, and direct care. This individual is very interested in sports including hockey and cycling as well as computer programming. We are looking for a candidate to support this person in helping him to get out and enjoy life. Applicants must be comfortable around cats and dogs.

Hourly Rate: $10.20 per hour

PT Schedule available: Mon-Fri 5pm-9pm and/or Sat & Sun 9am-5pm

Requirements:
A HS Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License with at least one year of non-permit driving experience.
Access to a vehicle is required for the purposes of this position.
Must be comfortable transporting individuals we support around the local community.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable giving individuals direct care including assisting with personal hygiene tasks.
