Maverick County Early Childhood Coalition Facilitator-Full Time Temporary (Position ends August 31, 2025)
Position is Based in Eagle Pass, TX.
Founded in 1982 in Laredo, Texas, SCAN is a leading provider of social services in South Texas. SCAN offers a friendly and supportive working environment that encourages personal and professional growth.
SCAN is seeking a dynamic Facilitator to sustain our Early Childhood Coalition in Eagle Pass and the surrounding areas. The Facilitator must exhibit vision, leadership, and persistence. This position is expected to sustain and continue building an Early Childhood Coalition by drawing in more representatives from the community to work together and meet monthly to determine the strategic direction for SCAN's Early Childhood Coalition. The coalition will also raise community awareness on issues affecting young children and their families in the service area.
Qualifications
- An associate's degree or at least 60-hours of college credit are required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of professional work experience is preferred.
- Flexibility, creativity, and ability to solve problems.
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong professional and empathic communication skills, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and with diverse groups of people.
- Good knowledge of social media platforms, audiences and behaviors across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Suite
- Must be Bilingual (Proficient in both English and Spanish)
- Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license
