Recovery Coach

Location: Laredo, TX.

Position Descripion

Provide support to clients during periods of crisis and support retention.
Position: 1 Part-Time Position (20-24 Hours per week)

Duties: Monitor and ensure daily program operations. Recovery Coaches will aid and support clients. Provide peer recovery services.

SCAN is establishing a project that helps prevent the spread of HIV by providing easily accessible HIV and Hepatitis prevention services within a behavioral health care setting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Be in recovery (Mental health and/or Substance Use Disorder) for at least 3 (three) consecutive months (Note: In the job application, you must explain your personal recovery experience with drugs and the number of months that you have been in recovery)
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) is required.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Transporting clients in own vehicle is required at times and compensated for mileage.
  • Reliable transportation, proof of insurance and a valid driver's license required.
  • Able to work flexible hours and weekends.
Benefits for Part-Time Positions include:
  • Salary range: $13.50 to $14.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
