Youth Service/ Recovery Support and Family Coordinator


SCAN operates the Familias Unidas Program to serve adolescents (ages 12-18) and transitional aged youth (ages 16-25) and their families/primary caregivers with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring substance use and mental disorders.

Duties: Coordinate Activities for youth and families. Ensure the availability of coordinated integrated system of care with adolescents and transitional aged youth serving agencies and services. Ensure that family members attend activities and are engaged in youth's treatment. Fosters the participation of the entire family. Interacts with community organizations to ensure integration of services and stakeholders' participation in providing motivation and leverage to attend services. Coordinates families and stakeholders' meetings. Carries a small caseload.

If LPC-A, SCAN provides free supervision and offers all program counselors the opportunity to expand and grow within the agency's multiple comprehensive programs. If LCDC-I, SCAN is an HHSC approved Clinical Training Institute registered site to provide professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or master's degree in counseling or clinical psychology
  • LCDC, LPC-A preferred
  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Good computer skills
  • Transporting clients in own vehicle is required at time and compensated for milage.
  • Reliable transportation, proof of insurance and valid driver's license required.
  • Able to work flexible hours and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the mental health field preferred
  • Experienced with evidence-based practices preferred
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience collaborating with community agencies

Benefits for Full-Time Positions include:
  • Salary range: $50,000 to $52,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
