ENGINE ROOM OPERATOR

JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualifications
Candidate should have 1+ years ammonia refrigeration and or boiler operations experience as well as trade school certification or associates degree preferred. Must possess basic knowledge of the refrigeration cycle, and components within the system. Must know engine room safety and use proper use of PPE. Basic understanding of PSM. Prefer CARO or CIRO certified but must attain CARO within one year. Valid 24 hour spill response preferred, but can be acquired through company training.

Duties
Monitor system during operation, start and stop equipment, rounds and logs, add oil to equipment, and drain oil from system, basic troubleshooting, housekeeping, and duties as assigned by Supervisor or lead operator. Employee must abide by all company safety policies and GMP’s. Must participate in plant safety and PSM programs. Monitor boiler operations and compressed air throughout facility.

Compensation
The pay for this position is $17.15-$26.75 per hour DOE and certifications.This position includes a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, union pension plan, vacation, and paid holidays. Relocation assistance is available for this position.
