Director of Quality - THCG

Job Description

The Director of Quality plans, coordinates, and implements activities required to maintain the quality management and performance improvement programs for Taylor Health Care Group.

Job Duties:
  • Responsible for ensuring service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance
  • Draft quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
  • Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards
  • Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
  • Observe internal control procedures and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data
  • Core measure data entry and other quality program requirements
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
  • Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
  • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
  • Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Responsible for document management systems
  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
  • Other related duties and activities may be required to be performed
  • Performs administrative duties and oversight of other departments as assigned

Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Current Georgia licensure as Registered Nurse

Training/Experience:
  • Experience in healthcare management
  • Approximately 12 months on the job training/orientation required to become functionally independent
  • Must be able to perform with a high degree of accuracy to reduce errors in judgment concerning utilization of resources and care of clients
  • Must have strong leadership, management and organizational abilities
  • Must be able to utilize initiative and independent action as required within the general framework of professional responsibilities
  • Due to the nature of the job, leadership and judgment skills may be necessary in situations not well defined, therefore, individual must be able to discern appropriate action and appropriate interventions within the scope of the Medical Practice Act, Georgia Nurse Practice Act, regulations and rules for Advanced Practice Nursing, Physician Assistants, and community/national standards
  • Must exhibit a high degree of confidentiality
  • Must exhibit ability to address the public upon issues of healthcare and community concern.
  • Competent with word-processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Quality management experience preferred to include Quality auditing
  • Medical chart review experience preferred
  • Core measure data entry experience preferred
