Company Description

Goodwin Insurance Agency is a small, independent Financial Planning & Insurance Firm located on Main
Street in Williamsville, New York. Currently with 6 employees, the firm provides Financial Planning to
individuals, 401k plan management to companies, and provides for the insurance needs of both
individuals and firms. Work atmosphere is relaxed with typically business casual dress code.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant is a part-time position and will be a highly valued member of the team with
a considerable amount of autonomy. The main responsibility of this role will be to assist the financial
advisor in all aspects of day-to-day activities. This position assumes responsibility of administration,
client account servicing, and client onboarding. This role will also contact investment companies,
insurance companies, and clients to resolve/tend to issues with client accounts.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Fill out paperwork for clients relating to creation of new accounts, asset movement, servicing
documents
• Interact with clients on a daily basis by phone, email, or in-person meetings
• Follow-up on client requests and transactions from previous days to ensure proper settlement
by the investment/insurance companies
• Prepare documentation and portfolio analysis summary for client portfolio review meetings
• Data entry for clients’ investment portfolios
• Complete compliance related tasks

Requirements/Qualifications:
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to keep organized while working under time constraints
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage highly confidential information
• Proficient in technology, including Microsoft office applications and ability to learn new software
quickly
• Demonstrated dependability and sense of urgency about getting tasks done
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services industry
Preferred Qualifications
• Active FINRA Series 6 or 7 license
• Experience with Salesforce CRM & Morningstar is a plus
