Texoma Community Center (TCC) is one of 39 Texas Community Centers, which are governmental entities as defined by Title 7 of the Texas Health and Safety Code.
This position is responsible for providing services to individuals with Developmental Disabilities and/or Dual Diagnosis as assigned in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal rules, standards, and guidelines. PASRR Community Support specialist will provide assistance to individuals living in the Nursing Facility by means of scheduled activities (i.e. Independent Living Skills training, Transportation to and from Dayhab, Employment Opportunities) in order for individuals to achieve and/or maintain independence in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Texoma Community Center. All services are provided within a trauma informed model of care. Operates under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care which align with CCBHC standards. Starting wage: $11.00/Hour
Education and/or Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Knowledge and implementation of trauma informed care protocols preferred, if not trained, required within first 30 days of hire
• Previous experience in direct care position working with individuals with mental disabilities is desirable
