We have an immediate opening for a qualified Budget Analyst (BA) who will support the Department of Transportation National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
The duties of the Budget Analyst include:
Assisting with the review and preparation of the agency budget submissions for all stages of the annual budget process, including the development of narratives, exhibits, and tables;
Performing and reviewing the entry of budget data into the MAX system for incorporation into the President’s Budget to Congress;
Preparing and executing the administrative and programmatic budgets of the agency (e.g. preparing/reconciling various budget tracking spreadsheets & IAAs; assisting with the drafting of other procurement documents);
Reviewing existing and developing new standard operating procedures;
Assisting with the preparation of SF-132 apportionments and Advice of Allotments;
Reconciling incoming Interagency Agreements for all open accounting years;
Assisting with the preparation of monthly Budget Execution reports;
Assisting with the preparation of bi-weekly salary execution reports.
The Budget Analyst will be required to work with DOT-specific databases such as DELPHI, PRISM, and MAX A-11 Data Entry. The individual will also be required to work with Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, and SharePoint.
