Salary Range: $3,449.00/month - $4,621.00/month; Starting Salary DOQ, DOE

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: Performs specialized clerical, filing, and data entry duties for one or more office procedures or functions and works with criminal and juvenile defendants for payment of their legal financial obligations. Work is distinguished from Office Assistant I by greater complexity, variety, and nature of duties and tasks. Requires accuracy and the application of human relations skills in a rapid pace work environment. Work is performed with independence after initial introduction to all duties of the position, usually accomplished in six (6) months after employment. General supervision is provided by the County Clerk, or higher-level clerical personnel.
Working Environment/Physical Abilities: Almost all work is performed in an office or courtroom setting. Must possess physical ability to sit for long periods of time while performing clerical duties, able to lift up to 20 pounds, climb and balance on step stool to obtain or replace files.
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, And Requirements: High school diploma or GED from an accredited high school required. Two (2) years of general clerical and reception work experience applicable to this position, at a level equivalent to Office Assistant I; or substituting, on a month for month basis, any combination of experience, education and training which would provide the level of knowledge and ability required. Knowledge of collection procedures is preferred.
Licenses And Other Requirements: Must maintain confidentiality of material and information in office. Must submit to and pass a background check acceptable to the Office.
