Position: Vegetation/Traffic Control Management Worker
Starting Salary: $19.04 per hour
Location: Public Works Department

Brief Duties and Responsibilities: Operate various vegetation management, sign maintenance and pavement marking equipment. Use and apply products for chemical control of vegetation on county road right of way. Install, replace, and maintain traffic control and other road signs in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Perform duties and represent the County to the public in a professional and courteous manner. See the job description for the complete list of essential functions.
Working Environment: Work is performed indoors or outdoors, daylight or evening, in normal and adverse weather conditions. Requires physical strength and ability to lift fifty pounds (50) repeatedly. Ability to bend, reach, twist, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. Good manual dexterity and motor coordination required. Must wear safety equipment as needed for environment or cleaning elements.
Minimum Qualifications: Two (2) years’ experience in road maintenance operations, vegetation management and/or traffic control. Class “A” CDL with tanker endorsement required. Must possess or obtain (within 12 months) a valid State Department of Agriculture Right-of-Way License and also an International Municipal Signal Association (ISMA) Signs & Markings Level I & II certifications.
