Best Job Post Syndication Software

Spread the love

If you’re trying to recruit the best talent, a well written ad is just the start. If you’re serious about getting those listings in front of the people that matter, you need reliable job post syndication software.

With the right platform, instead of manually crafting ads then listing them individually on multiple sites, you can create just one listing and share it across multiple channels with just a few mouse clicks.

Ultimately this means less work upfront, maximum reach, and a smoother, more effective hiring process.

Still, the Internet is crammed with various HR management tools, all promising to do just that. That’s why you need to make the right choice when it comes to job postings.

Why Job Post Syndication Matters

The main advantage of syndication software is that it can automate distribution of your listing to many different job boards, aggregators, and even social media platforms.

This offers some important advantages, including:

Wider reach

It stands to reason that the ability to post to multiple job ads simultaneously means it can appear on dozens (or even hundreds) of boards. This boosts your eyeball numbers, along with the number of potential applicants.

Time savings

With the right job post syndication software you can create your listing just once, then syndicate to all supported platforms.

Cost efficiency

Remember, not all job boards are free for recruiters. However, many syndication platforms offer bundled pricing, or even unlimited posting on supported sites, reducing your costs.

Better candidate quality

Spreading your net wider will mean you’ll land a few minnows. But by posting in multiple channels, you’ll also attract a more diverse talent pool.

Data and insights

Since job postings are pushed centrally, many syndication solutions can also aggregate applicant data. This can include the job boards used by applicants for specific roles, allowing you to refine your sourcing strategy.

NinjaGig

Our platform’s main target audience is small to medium-sized businesses. One of my favorite features in terms of job post syndications is you only have to pay a flat fee of $49 per month.

NinjaGig also places no limits on the number of listings you can create and post. The interface is very easy to navigate, and once the ad is created, there’s an option to post it automatically to numerous boards and search engines including big names like Indeed, Google Jobs, ZipRecruiter, and Monster.

You can also enable the notifications feature to receive an email each time a candidate has successfully sent an application. In keeping with NinjaGig’s “one fee fits all” ethos, there’s also no limit on the number of employment applications you can receive.

Depending on the board, postings can also include a neat QR code to let potential candidates scan the application, along with a shortened ‘TinyURL’ link to your website. You can also create a custom domain for your listings, which includes your company name and logo.

All valid applications are channeled into a central dashboard, so you can review and (if necessary) collaborate on them with other members of your HR team.

We offer a 14-day free trial so you can test out the job syndication features for yourself, though I’d say it doesn’t get much simpler than this to post to multiple channels at once.

Zoho Recruit

If you’re at all active in the HR space, you’re likely to have stumbled across the ‘Zoho One’ ecosystem. In plain English, that means Zoho offers a range of business tools for activities like billing and performance monitoring.

The ‘Recruit’ tool is noteworthy as it has a ‘Forever Free’ plan, which costs you nothing if you only want to post one job listing. However, if you want to post to premium job boards or need applicant tracking features, you’ll need to sign up for at least the ‘Standard’ plan for $25 per user, per month.

I’d previously read online reviews that said Zoho Recruit’s interface was difficult to use, but didn’t find this at all for the job publishing feature.

The platform has a dedicated ‘Job Openings’ module. From here, you can just click the ‘Publish’ button to post your listing.

There are three main options: ‘Job Boards’, ‘Career Site’, and ‘Career Site and Free Job Boards’.

If you choose the first option, you’ll see a list of the sponsored job boards you previously activated, along with the pricing for each one on the right-hand side of the page. You can make use of Zia (Zoho’s AI assistant) to save the data you enter into fields e.g. job descriptions so you can use it later. Recruit also supports creating web forms for applicants to fill in.

Once you’ve finalized your listing and choose to publish, the job boards to which it’s successfully been posted are displayed neatly in the ‘Published’ section.

BambooHR

This platform actually contains a whole bunch of HR management tools, so it’s likely you’ll already have used it or at least heard of it.

Like NinjaGig, it’s aimed at small to medium-sized businesses. It also offers a simple setup process for creating new job listings.

Users just need to navigate to the ‘Hiring’ tab and click the dedicated button to create a new job opening. From there, it’s simple to enter key details like the job title and description.

One thing I really like about BambooHR is that when you’re creating a posting, there’s a tick box you can check to automatically push it to popular sites like Indeed and Glassdoor, provided you’ve supplied the required information like the city and state.

If your chosen job board isn’t listed, you can also use the ’embed code’ feature to copy and paste the listing directly into your own career website’s HTML code. If you don’t already have a career site then Bamboo can create one for you, displaying your company logo. Unfortunately, I couldn’t see an option to customize the URL to make it resemble your company name.

Existing postings also have an option named ‘Share Job Link’. You can use this to share them on popular social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIN, or X.

If you’re already using BambooHR’s other HR tools, then this could be a solid choice but I noted the syndication options are more limited compared to its competitors.

If you’re not already a customer, then you’ll need to contact BambooHR’s sales team for a quote. I did read several existing reviews that said the platform follows a “per employee, per month” pricing structure. Expect to pay $12 – $22 per person.

Ashby

This platform is a relative newcomer, having only been around since late 2022. Its ATS features are excellent, as you can easily generate reports then link them to specific dashboards. This makes it very simple to aggregate data and track candidate applications.

Ashby also supports creating job listings and is extremely flexible when it comes to integrations, given that it has its own API.

This means if you have the time and patience, Ashby can provision a dedicated job posting feed for a partner interested in ingesting job postings so you can send them there. However, unlike most of its competitors there’s no option to automatically publish your listing across multiple job boards as soon as you create it.

The platform does support using Ashby’s API to create a custom careers page. This can include aspects like bespoke application forms, though once again you’ll have to code the form fields yourself.

None of this is to say that Ashby doesn’t support job post syndication. It just means you have to do more heavy-lifting regarding integration. Once applications are in the system, however, Ashby has some excellent features like generating scheduling links, as well as an excellent overview of all candidate data.

In terms of pricing, Ashby offers four price plans based on the number of employees in your workplace.

The lowest-cost tier is named ‘Foundations’ and supports companies with 100 employees or fewer. Prices begin at $300 per month for up to 10 workers. You can reduce subscription fees by 10% by paying annually.

ZipRecruiter

This platform is pretty much a household word when it comes to job syndication. This is because when you create a listing, you can publish it to over one hundred job boards with just one mouse click.

The platform offers a 2-day free trial to let you try out creating a job posting. In theory, you can keep any candidates that apply though I doubt very much that 48 hours is enough time to find someone with exactly the skills you need.

Once you’ve created an employer account and provide your contact details, the platform prompts you to create a job posting. This is clearly laid out, with common-sense fields like job title and type. There are also checkboxes to list common benefits like Medical Insurance or a 401(k). ZipRecruiter also has a number of built-in templates to write job descriptions.

One aspect I didn’t like was despite the offer of a free trial I was asked to provide my credit card information. This, presumably, is in the hope that you’ll be so delighted with the platform that you won’t mind signing up, but I felt it would have been better to wait until the trial was over.

Having said that, if you do decide to pay and find a suitable candidate quickly ZipRecruiter won’t lock you in to a thirty day posting. Once you’ve found your hire, you can just close the listing and replace it with a new role in the same job slot.

There are three main pricing plans: Standard, Premium, and Pro. Your chosen tier determines aspects like the total number of job slots and resume database views. However, none of the plans place any limits on the number of people who can apply for a position.

Specific prices aren’t listed, however you can contact ZipRecruiter’s sales team for a quote. All pricing tiers include the ability to publish job listings to popular boards like Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Monster. I was also impressed to see that the platform has partnered up with more niche job boards like Lensa and JobHat.

What to look for in Job Post Syndication Software

All of the above job syndication solutions offer different features and benefits. When deciding on the right one for your company, consider these factors:

Syndication coverage

This is more than just checking a grocery list of the job boards to which your chosen platform can publish. Ensure that pricing is displayed transparently in each case. If specific job boards require ads to be formatted in a certain way e.g. city and state, double-check that the syndication platform lets you enter this data.

Ease of use

This is a particular concern if you need to create a large number of listings. The fewer hoops you have to jump through to do this, the sooner you can have ads published across multiple job boards.

Pricing model

Unless it’s specifically stated on the pricing page, check with your syndication provider if billing is on a per user, or per-hire basis. Check pricing tiers for limits on job postings, as well as applications.

Branding

Even if you’re using a third-party platform it’s important to maintain your company’s brand. Check if listings allow you to insert your company URL and logo. You should also do the same if the syndication platform lets you create a custom career page, to keep your branding consistent.

Integration

If your chosen syndication platform also has ATS features, this is less of a concern. Still, you should double-check how well it aligns with your existing workflow. If you already have an ATS solution, double-check that it’s compatible with your job post syndication software. Take advantage of free trials to confirm this, if available.

Streamlining your hiring with Job Post Syndication

When it comes to recruitment in the 21st century, job post syndication is a matter of common sense. It’s the only viable way to ensure listings are posted as widely as possible across job boards, whilst offering a practical way to manage the ensuing job applications.

NinjaGig supports unlimited job postings and applications and it does so without the hassle of per-job or per-user fees. Subscribers just pay one flat charge of $49.95 per month to access all features. Once a listing’s created you can post it automatically across many different job boards and receive an email notification each time someone applies.

Ultimately, the software that works best for you will depend on your unique needs. Start your free 14-day NinjaGig trial today to experience effortless job post syndication for yourself.
