Job Description We are looking for a 3rd shift machinist to join our team after the first of the year! Looking to add this team member in the first quarter of the year.
Experience in a manufacturing environment, or in machining is preferred, but not required, we are willing to train individuals with a desire to learn.
Must be mechanically inclined and able to work independently in a fast paced environment.
General Job Description
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards. • Safe operation of all machinery, tools, equipment • Review job folder to verify requirements, procedure, run time • Load/unload raw material and finished parts from CNC vertical machining centers • Start/stop machine production processes • Monitor machine operations for malfunctions, production quality, safety issues • Examine completed parts for defects/flaws-notify set-up operator or team leader • Clean completed parts, keep machine center and work area clean/organized • Wash parts or de-burr as required • Count finished parts to verify order/run requirements are met • Pack parts for transfer to next process/shipping • Create/fill out routing tags or material transaction sheets as necessary • Inspect machining center and tooling for damage/defects prior to production
• High school diploma or equivalent • Preferred, but not required: previous experience running CNC production, or metal manufacturing related course • Detail Orientated • Dependable • Comfortable performing repetitive work
